Information about school
Secondary Technical School of Building and Business is a school with a long tradition, situated in the centre of Kladno only 25 kilometres from Prague.
Both full-time and external students attend the following branches of study:
- Economic Lyceum
- Technical Lyceum
- Business College
- Civil Engineering
This school is attended by 630 students this year. They have chance to use multimedia classrooms with data projectors, computers and interactive boards. There are five IT classrooms, modern classrooms for drawing and languages.
The school has a youth hostel, a school canteen, a sports hall, a gym and a sports field. Students have a possibility of accommodation and a full-board.
During the school year we organize extra-curriculum activities for students, e.g. summer sports courses, winter skiing courses, trips abroad, special excursions.
Students take part in competitions, e.g. Secondary School Specialist Projects. We have become regular organizers of regional round of this competition.
The school is a test centre of ECDL, and many of our students have taken part in doing the tests and have obtained the ECDL certificate. Students also use cybernetic classes of typing on computers (ZAV) and have chance to pass state exam in word processing and typing during the course.
In technical courses CAD is taught and graduates use these skills in practical jobs or at universities.
A great number of our students apply for university studies every year.
